In light of experience first hand experience by Irina trying to get these instructions to work for her, it's actually been found that you'll probably need to email Simon before you can get this to work, this may well change in the future though.

In order to add a T&C form to your scratchpad you'll need to follow the following simple instructions:

  • Ensure you're logged in as the Maintainer of your site.
  • Click on the "Administer" link.
  • Look for a link which says "Legal", if this exists you can miss the next step.
  • You need to activate the "Legal" module, click on "Modules", scroll down and check the check box next to Legal.  Scroll down further, and click "Save configuration".  Click on the "Administer" link in the side bar.
  • Click on the "Legal" link, which should bring up the options for the legal module.
  • Check the "HTML text" radio button.
  • Now select "open rich editor" which should bring up a popup window allowing you to enter your Terms and Conditions.
  • You can safely ignore "Additional Checkboxes" and "Explain Changes"
  • Click the "Save" button at the bottom.  You should now have a working Terms and Conditions form which users have to agree to before they can sign up to your site.
