It would be good to specify a fixed string of authors for the citation feature for some projects.
I am pretty sure it previously was possible to do a simple search using the vernacular names imported to our taxonomies. The search result would include a link to the relevant species page. Now it doesn’t work. Is it an option we can enable? Being able to search for a species by its vernacular name in English or Italian will be very important for our users.
At the moment every time a cell is edited the user has to wait for the whole slickgrid to reload before editing more data. This makes quick editing impossible, so we need to implement row-level locking and updating of data.
Improvements to the taxonomy editor should include the revisioning of terms. This will allow us to easily implement an "undo" feature in the editor, and will also provide other enhancements.
A list of all type specimens included on the antkey site is being displayed on the overview section of each species page. Issues like this that affect the species pages really take credibility away from Scratchpads and are personally embarrassing when I am presenting the site to colleagues and funders.
An ajax error (HTTP result code:500) is returned when saving taxonomies in the site.
The maintainer reports:
I have recently set up a site (surreybackgarden.myspecies.info), and at first it worked fine, but now everything I try to do results in some sort of error
"The website encountered an unexpected error. Please try again later"
"An AJAX HTTP error occurred. HTTP Result Code: 500"
I am sometimes unable to access the site, sometimes unable to import taxonomy information from EOL, unable to edit the existing taxonomy without errors.
It's making the site unusable. I tried to create a New Issue, without success as I don't have a log-in.
Please can you help? I'm on the point of giving up and creating my own site in HTML!!
a number of taxon descriptions in the Scilloideae scratchpad are missing a title. They seem to all have been part of the same import run on the 2013-09-25 22:10.
I need to see the title in order to select and execute an update.
I have just been trying to update the map for Macroglossum bombylans. When I an logged in, the correct map shows, which is the one with, for example, Shandong shown as a separate area. This appear under both Overview and Descriptions tabs as desired. However, when I log out, the old, pre-edited map appears on the Overview tab and something entirely different appears under Descriptions. I have tried clearing the cache and closing and reopening my Browser (latest Firefox) but this has no effect.
A related issue concerns the Media gallery. When logged in, I can see the correct image sticky at the top of the list and in the large box on the overview page. However, when logged out, this stickyness seems to be lost and another image appears.
I can no longer use the excel import to import users with same fname/lname but with diff guids. Gives me error 'sql error duplicate key name'
The Tools page seems oddly placed under structure, and should perhaps be moved to the configuration page. What do others think?
I am concerned that Femail may not be working as expected. We should test to see if email messages are being sent out correctly, and that they are also being received and entered into the forum.
Replying notification e-mails does not post the reply to the forum.
If the web browser size is less than the full width of the site and you hover over an image, the Creative Commons licence image gets blown up and is massively distorted. See attached image. Tested in Chrome and Firefox on a Mac and Windows Firefox (64 bit) .
Hi SP team,
I have recently added images to our content-type "psg_sepcies". When these images are clicked, i would like a colorbox to open with the same image details as shown in the gallery, e.g:
However, the settings availble seem limited to include just the title/similar - this is what I've achieved so far (click images in link):
How can I display the images in the species pages wit the same level of info as the gallery? Ideally we'd like description, creator, licence and taxanomic name link.
I have set up a private group with all the settings that allow content only to be viewed by members. This works for taxon descriptions and the literature but not for all the images which are still visible in the Media Gallery and at the taxonomic nodes. I have followed the information in your test site using the settings in Feature #909, and selected the Groups Audience as my private group and then for Group Content Availability i have selected either "private - accessible only to group members" or "use group defaults" and the images are still visible trying both these options.
In Professional Interest sections lines are displayed with additional line breaks and extra commas. Adding bulleted list results in three extra lines per item
Is it possibel to change the order of the images displayed here: http://phasmid-study-group.org/gallery ? They seem to be date ascending, I'd like decsending so newest show first, please.
I have the Events module enabled, but when I create a new event it shows the GROUPS AUDIENCE at the top - can I change this so it doesn't appear for events, please? Not sure where the settings are to control which pages this appears on.
all my images have been duplicated (well most of them as far as I can see). In fact they appear twice when you go to the media table under each species. They are not duplicated in the grid list I think.
for example see: http://annonaceae.myspecies.info/taxonomy/term/2158/media
